Estonian Defence Week returns to Tallinn on September 21–25, 2026, bringing together defence companies, innovators, investors and policymakers for a five-day programme.
The official EDW 2026 programme says the event will feature 4,000 domestic and international defence experts and companies at Tallinn Creative Hub (Kultuurikatel) and other venues in city.
The 2026 programme
The week opens on September 21 with Defence Innovation Day, organised by Tehnopol through the NATO DIANA Estonian Accelerator. The event will focus on national resilience, internal security and dual-use technologies, combining startup pitches, keynotes and panels that connect end-users with investors and technology companies. It is an in-person-only event at Tallinn Creative Hub; registration is required, and final participation is subject to approval by the organisers.

On September 21–22, the Defence Industry Symposium will bring together defence industry experts and policymakers from more than 30 countries under the theme “Next in Defence: Autonomy, Space & Industrial Readiness”. Registration details are available on the event platform.
The Annual Baltic Conference on Defence (ABCD) runs on September 22–23, marking its 20th edition. The invitation-only conference brings together policymakers, military officials, academics and analysts to discuss transatlantic, European and regional defence issues.
The Tallinn Defence EXPO runs from September 22–24 and will feature more than 100 companies from Estonia and abroad. The event is invite-only; the visitor information page explains how to request an invitation. Please note that access is subject to a background check and confirmation.
On September 24, the NATO Open Innovation Conference & Expo (NOICE), hosted by NATO Allied Command Transformation, will bring together NATO entities, Allied nations, industry, researchers and military end-users around emerging defence technologies, operational innovation and rapid capability adoption. The week concludes on September 24–25 with the City Resilience Hack at the Energia Avastuskeskus (Energy Discovery Centre). Organised by the City of Tallinn and Tehnopol with partner cities Valencia, Helsinki, Lviv and Dnipro, the hackathon offers a €75,000 prize fund, opportunities to develop solutions with cities and a chance to join the Tehnopol acceleration programme.
