DefSecIntel Solutions, an Estonian defence company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TAG – the Oman-based branch of The Armored Group, a global manufacturer of armored and military vehicle platforms with production facilities in Duqm, Oman. The MoU formalizes a strategic partnership and cooperative roadmap focused on delivering integrated, field-ready defence solutions for the Gulf region.
This marks DefSecIntel’s first MoU in the Gulf region, representing an important milestone in the company’s international expansion and increased industrial partnership.
“The Gulf region requires solutions that work reliably in demanding environments from day one. This cooperation with TAG demonstrates the trust placed in our systems and confirms that our combat-proven technologies are well suited for harsh operational conditions and long-term regional deployment.”

The defence and security landscape in the Gulf region is characterized by a growing demand for mobile, integrated, and rapidly deployable systems that are proven, reliable, and ready for operational use in complex and harsh environments. DefSecIntel Solutions and The Armored Group are both established system integrators, operating in different geographic regions and bringing complementary expertise to address these requirements.

TAG and Defsecintel responding to regional defence needs
“This MoU marks an important milestone for Defsecintel in the Gulf region. By integrating our combat-proven surveillance and counter-UAS systems with The Armored Group armored vehicle platforms, we are delivering mobile, scalable, and operationally ready solutions that directly address real security challenges faced by end-users,” said Jaan Hein, VP of Government Programs at DefSecIntel Solutions.

DefSecIntel Solutions contributes combat-proven mobile surveillance, counter-UAS (C-UAS), and autonomous systems, developed based on real operational experience and designed for rapid deployment and scalability. The Armored Group brings extensive expertise in the design, integration, and delivery of armored vehicle platforms, tailored specifically to the operational and environmental conditions of the Gulf region.
Rather than focusing on experimental or early-stage innovation, the partnership is centered on ready-to-use integrated solutions that can be deployed immediately by end users. The cooperation reflects a shared commitment to reliability, operational maturity, and long-term support, enabling defence forces, border security authorities, and critical infrastructure operators to respond effectively to evolving threats.
Integrated capability on display
“At The Armored Group, we focus on delivering complete, mission‑ready solutions by working closely with technology partners and collaborators such as DefSecIntel,” said Waliullah Aitemad, Key Account Manager at The Armored Group.
“As the defence and security landscape continues to evolve, our customers increasingly require integrated systems that enhance situational awareness, protection, and operational effectiveness, rather than standalone platforms.”

“As the defence and security landscape continues to evolve, our customers increasingly require integrated systems that enhance situational awareness, protection, and operational effectiveness, rather than standalone platforms. By combining our armored vehicle expertise with advanced sensing and intelligence technologies, we believe this approach will deliver tangible value and long‑term benefits for our clients,” added Aitemad.
The collaboration also demonstrates a high level of mutual trust and confirms the suitability of DefSecIntel’s technologies for harsh climatic and operational environments, while significantly strengthening both companies’ long-term presence and cooperation in the Gulf region.
The MoU was signed on 09 February by Muhammad Yameen Khattak, Chief Operating Officer of The Armored Group and VP of Government Programs of Defsecintel Solutions Jaan Hein (Amb.ret) at the World Defence Show 2026 in Saudi Arabia, witnessed by Estonian Minister of Defence, Hanno Pevkur, showing the strong political backing for deeper industrial cooperation.
As part of the cooperation, DefSecIntel’s advanced sensor systems — including radars, cameras, and pan-tilt units — together with AI-enabled C2 and C-UAS capabilities, are displayed as integrated solutions on The Armored Group’s armored platforms at their booth during World Defense Show 2026.
