One of the directions of the Centre is the development of drone technologies, which also directly meets the needs of the Estonian defence industry. The Centre will provide companies with applied research as well as various laboratory services to help improve the quality of defence procurements, enhance combat equipment lifecycle management and support product development.
Capacities of the Centre’s laboratory:
- a climate chamber for large-scale equipment to test the resistance of the equipment to environmental conditions;
- assessment of subsystems by the accelerated method (temperature, humidity, vibration, pressure, dust and corrosion tests);
- the electromagnetic emissions and immunity of the equipment can be tested and the radar signals of the test object can be measured in an electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) laboratory;
- a field test area for testing unmanned aerial vehicles.
