Estonian Study Trip to Sweden

November 5th – 7th, 2024
Gothenburg and Stockholm

Our mission

Sweden is renowned for its entrepreneurial spirit, forward-thinking policies, and thriving tech landscape. Our goal is to explore the key factors driving Sweden’s successful startup ecosystem — from supportive government and R&D initiatives to dynamic innovation hubs. Our focus lies in sparking a mindset and skillset shift, creating a toolset for innovation, and driving systemic change.

How can we turn the Nordic-Baltic region into a global talent powerhouse?

As part of the New Nordic DeepTech Valley initiative, we aim to foster connections, explore partnership opportunities, and gain valuable insights into best practices. By bridging our ecosystems, exchanging knowledge, and identifying ways to collaborate, we can strengthen the attractiveness and competitiveness of the entire Nordic-Baltic region.

Who We Would Like to Meet

We aim to connect with individuals who play a crucial role in the emergence and early-stage development of high-quality tech spin-off companies. These include community builders, researchers, TTO (Technology Transfer Office) officers, founders, investors, government officials, enthusiasts, and visionaries from Sweden.

What Might Be Potential Joint Future Actions?

On a global level, potential future actions for New Nordic stakeholders could include joint business missions to key markets such as Asia and the USA, as well as cross-marketing initiatives to promote each other’s ecosystems and the region as a whole. On a regional level, collaboration could involve organizing major events like Slush and TechArena, along with developing joint programs such as acceleration programs, value proposition workshops, and corresponding communication strategies. At a field level, study visits, cross-border mentoring, and collaborative training sessions could be arranged to foster stronger connections and shared knowledge.
