Reliefwalls, the producer of wooden wall panels, represented in the Estonian pavilion at the EXPO Milano 2015 received their first order with the help of the World Expo.
Imre Toodu, the board member of the wall panel producer Reliefwalls said that the World Expo enables an enterprise to introduce innovative design on a wider scale. “Our oak relief wall panels have already been ordered from Germany,” Toodu rejoiced regarding the first results at the EXPO.
In the view of the head of the EXPO Estonian representation Andres Kask, the EXPO comprises the best from various areas of activity. “We are especially glad that already today, in less than a month after the opening of the EXPO, one enterprise has tangible results. It is clear proof of the fact that for an enterprise, participating in the EXPO opens a door to the rest of the world. Hopefully it will not remain the only good news and in half a year, we will be able to highlight even more success stories,” Kask added.
Bicycle producer Velonia is also represented in the Estonian pavilion with their flagship design bicycle Viks. Kristo Riimaa, the representative of Velonia said that for Viks, the EXPO allows to show themselves on an international level and take one step closer to bicycle enthusiasts. “We have calculated that within six months, at least 100,000 people will cycle on the Viks set up on a roller system in the Estonian pavilion, which is a very impressive number. For the cycling enthusiast employees of Velonia, the location of the World Expo is no less important – Velonia Bicycles is tightly cooperating with Italy in building track bicycles,” said Riimaa.
Riimaa also said that today, the enterprise has significant results to show. “Negotiations are already ongoing with possible partners and Viks is already receiving orders from Italy. There is also something that cannot be measured in numbers – for Velonia, the opportunity of having their product in the Estonian permanent exposition is a very significant recognition. For this, we will get on our bicycles on 31 May in Italy and ride 700 kilometres in 7 days around Northern Italy under the Estonian flag to introduce the Estonian pavilion,” Riimaa added.
Nearly 40 enterprises are represented at the Estonian pavilion, carrying the message of our country as a smart and innovative small country. The pavilion comprises enterprises from various areas – from the food and beverage industry to furniture, designers and high-value motorcycles.
