Skype is for doing things together, whenever you’re apart. Skype’s text, voice and video make it simple to share experiences with the people that matter to you, wherever they are.
Skype was launched in Tallinn and the software was written by three Estonian developers –schoolmates Ahti Heinla, Priit Kasesalu, and Jaan Tallinn. On its first day, 10,000 people downloaded it. A few months later, it already had a million users. Ten years later, Skype is part of Microsoft and the software is used by 300 million connected users around the world.
